VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® recently announced the promotion of Anthony Vacco to vice president of VITAS Home Medical Equipment (HME) Solutions. VITAS HME Solutions is the company’s home medical equipment provider, which exclusively serves VITAS patients in their homes, in assisted living communities and in nursing homes.
Vacco began his VITAS career in 2001 as general manager of VITAS’ Chicagoland Northwest program. He then became general manager of VITAS HME Solutions, where he launched two new HME offices in San Antonio and a Mid-Atlantic office. Vacco is also credited with creating the VITAS HME Solutions “Patient and Family Satisfaction Survey,” an instrument designed to help VITAS continually improve its services, which is regularly mailed to all of its home care patients.
Vacco earned his bachelor of arts degree in psychology and education from Rockford College in Rockford, IL, and also completed graduate work in educational administration at Purdue University in Hammond, IN.
