WHO:Wellington Regional Medical Center and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue

WHAT: WRMC will host a “Call of the Quarter” celebration to recognize PBCFR Rescue 20 and reunite a stroke patient with the Rescue 20 crew and hospital physicians and staff who saved her life.

On May 21, 2018, the patient’s son called 9-1-1 to report that his mother had experienced a decrease in blood pressure and fainting spells while eating at a restaurant.  PBCFR responded to the 90-year-old female and alerted WRMC of a “stroke alert,” and were bringing a potential stroke patient to the emergency room.  This collaboration ensured that the patient received the most efficient, quality care and resulted in a full recovery.

***We will celebrate the patient’s 91st birthday with her son, Rescue 20 crew members, PBCFR/EMS Administration, WRMC physicians and nurses that cared for the patient, and hospital administrators and directors.

WHEN:       Tuesday, August 28th at 3:30pm
WHERE:Wellington Regional Medical Center (Community Room)
