October 6, 2020 –Cleveland Clinic Weston is pleased to announce that Zeina Nahleh, MD, FACP, was named an Advocacy Champion by the Association for Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Advocates speak with federal lawmakers and agencies, send personalized letters to Members of Congress through ASCO’s ACT Network, engage with state lawmakers on policy priorities at the state-level, and host site visits for lawmakers in their home states and districts.
Throughout the past year, Dr. Nahleh has been actively involved in ASCO Advocacy activities and has been an active member of the ASCO Clinical Practice Guideline Committee.
“Dr. Nahleh is deserving of his honor as she continues to advocate on behalf of cancer patients to ensure they receive the best medical care and support services,” said Rodolfo Blandon, MD, MBA, President of Cleveland Clinic Weston. “She is personally committed to working on policy initiatives that also ensure that the standard of cancer care remains consistent so that patients can achieve the best possible outcomes from their cancer treatment.”
