September 21, 2026 – Board-certified medical oncologist Aurelio B. Castrellon, M.D., has joined the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health in Boynton Beach. He specializes in breast cancer and provides comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Castrellon spent more than a decade at Memorial Cancer Institute in Pembroke Pines, where he established himself as a nationally recognized breast medical oncologist. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented nationally and internationally on advances in breast cancer treatment, including targeted therapies, endocrine therapy and immunotherapy. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
Dr. Castrellon earned his medical degree from the Universidad de Panama School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital through the University of Miami, followed by a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the University of Miami and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is board certified in medical oncology.
