Sarah Petty, BSN, RN, CEN, TCRN, CPEN, CCRN, has spent her nursing career looking for ways to learn, grow and better care for patients. After graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Nursing in 2015, she began her career as an Emergency Department nurse at a Level I Trauma Center. Her work has since taken her across the country, including assignments in Alaska, California and Vermont, where she cared for patients in rural critical access hospitals and worked in critical care transport. A longtime caregiver within Catholic health care systems, Petty has built her career around compassionate, patient-centered care. Her commitment to learning is reflected in the specialty certifications she has earned, including Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) in 2023, Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) in 2024 and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) in 2025. Since joining Holy Cross Health in October 2025, Petty has helped advance pediatric education and staff development in the Emergency Department. She hopes to continue sharing her knowledge as a preceptor and mentor while supporting quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
