October 12, 2026 — HCA Florida Westside Hospital announces the appointment of Amit Parmar as Chief Operating Officer. Parmar brings more than nine years of progressive leadership experience with HCA Healthcare, having held operational leadership roles across Florida and Tennessee.
“We are excited to welcome Amit to the HCA Florida Westside Hospital leadership team,” said Drew Tyrer, Chief Executive Officer of HCA Florida Westside Hospital. “His extensive operational experience, collaborative leadership style and proven ability to expand clinical services will be instrumental as we continue strengthening our hospital and meeting the growing healthcare needs of our community.”
Most recently, Parmar served as Chief Operating Officer at HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, where he provided executive leadership and operational oversight for multiple clinical, ancillary and support service areas. During his tenure, he helped improve physician engagement, employee engagement, patient experience, service line growth and operational execution.
Parmar helped advance major initiatives at Woodmont, including the launch of its first Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (Cath/EP) Lab, expansion of surgical and robotic programs, inpatient bed growth and significant facility infrastructure improvements.
Parmar earned both a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Public Health from Barry University and graduated from HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program. His leadership philosophy emphasizes serving others with humility, equity, faith and hard work.
“Amit understands that exceptional healthcare starts with supporting the people who deliver it,” Tyrer added. “His commitment to physician and colleague engagement, operational excellence and patient-centered care aligns with our mission. We look forward to the positive impact his leadership will have on our patients, colleagues and the Broward County community.”
In his new role, Parmar will help oversee hospital operations and collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to support strategic priorities and the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
