Ceremonial first nails were hammered in place by Lee Health cardiothoracic surgeons, the chairman of the Board, and the associate director of nursing for the new Shipley Cardiothoracic Center at HealthPark Medical Center. The official groundbreaking event was held Dec. 4 for the 11,800-square-foot renovation on the first floor of the hospital. Opening of the new facility is projected for summer 2018.
