Board-certified cardiologist Alvaro I. Martinez Jr., M.D., has joined Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He has more than 25 years of experience in patient care and the management of cardiovascular conditions.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Martinez practiced at Personalized Medicine Institute/CordiCare in Davie, FL.
Dr. Martinez earned his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and a cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. He contributes to the medical community as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and member of the American Heart Association.
