As Mission Leader at Holy Cross Health, Mary Carter Waren, D.Min. helps ensure the organization’s Catholic identity remains part of everyday life across the ministry. A member of the executive leadership team, she oversees Mission Integration Essential Services including ethics, formation, mission leadership, spiritual care and the well-being of colleagues. For Carter Waren, mission is not separate from healthcare; it is reflected in how people are treated, how decisions are made and how Holy Cross Health serves its community. She helped establish the Holy Cross Health Legacy Program, helping colleagues connect the organization’s values and traditions to their daily work. Carter Waren holds a bachelor’s degree in music from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a master’s in pastoral ministries from St. Thomas University and a doctorate in ministry from Barry University.
