October 13, 2026 – HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is expanding its surgical services to include robotic-assisted waterjet treatment for eligible patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), commonly known as an enlarged prostate.

“This new capability reflects our commitment to investing in technology, treatment options and the expertise needed to meet the needs of our community,” said Henry Capote, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Highlands Hospital.

This advanced, minimally invasive treatment is designed to improve urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, such as frequent urination, difficulty urinating or a weak urine stream. Using real-time imaging and robotic-assisted technology, doctors can precisely remove the prostate tissue causing the blockage while tailoring the treatment for each patient’s unique anatomy.
