Neurosurgeon Alexander Poisik, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Medical Group. Board-certified in neurological surgery, Dr. Poisik will be seeing patients at Baptist Hospital of Miami, Doctors Hospital and West Kendall Baptist Hospital.
Dr. Poisik received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He completed an internship in the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA and a residency in the Department of Neurosurgery at The Emory Clinic in Atlanta, where he also served as chief resident. During his residency, he also was named the Intramural Spine Fellow in Complex Spinal Disorders.
Before joining Baptist Health, Dr. Poisik worked at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood where his positions included attending neurosurgeon, chief of the Neuroscience Department and chief of neurosurgery, West Operations.
