January 13, 2022 – Alison Mincey, J.D., has been named chief human resources officer at the University of Miami Health System and the Miller School of Medicine. In her leadership role, Mincey will provide strategic direction for our human resource functions on the medical campus, which includes the clinical enterprise of the health system and the Miller School of Medicine. Mincey’s first day with the organization will be February 7.

Mincey joins UHealth from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she served on the leadership team as senior associate vice president, human resources. Prior to her work at OSU, she spent seven years at Mutual Nationwide Insurance Company where she was responsible for legal support and governance oversight of the Fortune 100 company’s human resources organization.

“We are pleased to welcome Alison to UHealth. In her role, she will develop strategic and tactical workforce plans in support of our patient care, research, and education objectives that are at the core of our mission,” said Joseph J. Echevarria, chief executive officer of UHealth and executive vice president for Health Affairs at the University of Miami. Echevarria noted that talent acquisition, training and leadership development, organizational culture, and employee relations will also fall under Mincey’s responsibilities.

Mincey has been active in community organizations throughout her career, leading a campaign to support the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, serving on the local Workforce Development Board, and receiving a community service award from Columbus City Schools. She also recently earned an inaugural HR Impact Award from Columbus’ Business First.
