As Covid-19 continues to impact, thousands are in distress about testing sites. Local organizations come together in opening their facilities as Covid-19 testing sites, while distributing at-home tests.

January 17 2022 – Palm Beach Gardens, FL – As people are waiting hours in line to get tested for Covid-19, three local organizations will open their facilities to help ease the backlog.

The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches will be testing at its Palm Beach Gardens location on Hood Road, the new Chabad of Jupiter on University Blvd, and the Jewish Community Synagogue in North Palm Beach will each host Covid-19 testing site outside their facilities. They also will be giving out thousands of Covid-19 at-home test kits.

With an immeasurable number of people looking to protect others from getting sick and a short supply of test kits, these three local organizations recognized the need to care for the community, and together they took action to make it happen.

“When we sent out the notice, our phone didn’t stop ringing. People are so desperate to get tested that when we were able to organize this arrangement, they were so grateful! We hope to continue having the on-site testing available and handing out at-home kits as long as there is a need.” Rabbi Leib Ezagui of the Jewish Community Synagogue shared.

To make everyone’s experience smooth and efficient, people are given appointment times throughout the day.

Jesse Rosen, President & CEO of the Mandel JCC, told us, “Our mission is to build community and being able to again serve our neighbors in a time of need is exactly what we strive to do each day. We are thrilled to be able to our small part in helping people not have to wait in line for hours, quickly get results and help them get back to normal faster.”

Pre-registration for an appointment will streamline the process and allow people the best, fastest experience. Walk-ins will be processed on a space-available basis from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Each test site will offer PCR testing, rapid antigen testing, as well as a limited supply of at-home test kits. Testing is free if you do not have insurance. You must bring a valid ID.
