Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, a facility of HCA East Florida, has broken ground on its Emergency Room Expansion Project. The Hollywood Premier themed event marked the beginning of a $61 million investment to increase emergency room capacity and bring a new patient tower and parking garage to Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. The indoor ceremony featured a sand castle rendering of Aventura Hospital and Medical Center with its future expansion in place.
The Emergency Room Expansion Project will provide 14 new general exam rooms, which include two isolation rooms, five behavioral health rooms and an exam ultrasound room. The three-story tower will house 60 new private patient rooms designed with upmost attention to meet the comfort needs of future patients and their visitors. The accompanying parking garage will provide 513 additional parking spaces to accommodate increased traffic.
