Tenet Florida Physician Services (TFPS) is pleased to announce Carlos E. Moreyra, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, has opened offices in Pembroke Pines and Hialeah. Dr. Moreyra is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and on is staff at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah and Hialeah Hospital. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.Prior to joining TFPS, Dr. Moreyra served in the Navy as staff orthopaedic surgeon at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, FL and was deployed with the NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit to Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan. Before his tour, he also worked as a flight surgeon and general medical officer on seven other U.S. Navy assignments. Today, Dr. Moreyra is a Commander, Medical Corps, U.S. Navy Reserve. His civilian professional experience in the Miami area included orthopaedic clinical assistant, research fellow and full-time clinical research associate consultant. Dr. Moreyra has been practicing medicine since 1997.
