Heather J. Rohan, Chief Executive Officer at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, announced the appointment of the new Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Respected businessman Leonard Brenner will serve as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Enid Weisman, administrator with Miami-Dade County Schools, as Vice-Chairman.

Brenner obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from Armour Tech, now part of the Illinois Institute of Technology. After serving his country during WWII and being awarded the Middle East, European medal with 4 Battle Stars, he returned to South Florida. In 1959, he started his own construction company and acted as CEO until his retirement in 1991.

Enid Weisman has worked with Miami-Dade County Public Schools for more than 25 years. She currently is the Director of Exceptional Student Education Programs/Federal Projects for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where she previously served as Director of Business Operations. Weisman has also been Principal at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High, William H. Turner Technical Arts High School and Horace Mann Middle Community School.
