Latanya Benjamin, M.D., is the first pediatric dermatologist to join the Memorial Physician Group and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.Dr. Benjamin is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. She earned her medical degree from MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now Drexel University School of Medicine) in 2001. She then entered a pediatric residency, followed by a residency in dermatology and cutaneous surgery, which she completed at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2008. She completed her fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Children’s Memorial Hospital-Northwestern University, currently known as Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in 2009. She then joined faculty at Stanford University/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, CA teaching as a clinical professor for 5 years before joining Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
