The Avon Foundation has awarded a grant of $150,000 to the Broward Health Breast Cancer Patient Navigator program. The funds will be used over the next two years to expand the program services by adding a bilingual social worker.

Established in 2006, the Broward Health Breast Cancer Patient Navigator program was designed to navigate medically underserved women of all ages, living below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, who received an abnormal mammogram. The program helps them navigate through the healthcare system from a follow-up mammogram to breast cancer survivorship. This service is provided through an RN case manager.
