Surgeon Omar Llaguna, M.D., MPT, and Orthopedic surgeon Francisco Borja, M.D., have joined Baptist Health Medical Group.Dr. Llaguna specializes in general surgery and surgical oncology. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship at Maimonides Medical Center, general surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, as well as a surgical oncology and endocrine surgery fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Borja has been an assistant professor for six years in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is chief of the hip and knee joint replacement program at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is also assistant professor.
