More than 100 women physicians and health care executives gathered at the Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale recently for a social and educational dinner for members of the Broward County Medical Association. Sponsors Broad and Cassel, BB&T Wealth Management, ProMD and GCI Worldwide Corporation treated the physicians to a cocktail hour complete with browsing for jewelry by Susan Angert and CABI Clothes provided by Ellen Fischer.
 
Dr. Dana Wallace, the chair of the BCMA Women Physicians Section and incoming BCMA president, served as MC during the dinner, which featured informative presentations from the main sponsors. Robert Rubin, vice president of BB&T Wealth Management spoke about the importance of asset management, followed by Broad and Cassel Health Law Attorney Vanessa Reynolds, who cautioned the doctors about possible regulatory pitfalls. Maribel Cardova Ramirez, the director of business development for ProMD talked about ways to improve operations while Giselle Cheminand, president and CEO of GCI Worldwide, rounded out the evening with a presentation on patient retention and business development.
