Broward College’s goal is to train a minimum of 150 health information technology professionals per year over the term of the grant. Students are individuals looking for new careers who bring the skills from information technology or the healthcare sector. They may have gained those skills through college or vocational training programs or be veterans seeking re-entry into the civilian workforce who gained the requisite skills while serving in the military. These grant-funded training programs allow them to train quickly for an in-demand new career.
