Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Cafeteria

Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center (IPMC) recently celebrated the opening of its newly renovated cafeteria with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Renamed The Imperial Café, the modernized space features a deli bar offering made-to-order sandwiches, a pizza station, a sauté area and freshly brewed Starbucks coffee. The renovation included changing the wall color, laying hard wood flooring in the dining room, and updating the ceramic tile in the serving area.

IPMC executives, employees and the hospital’s Community Relations Council participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony including Betty Shelley, president of the Imperial Point Homeowners’ Association and executives from Aramark, IPMC’s food service provider.

Hospital staff played an integral role in the renovation selecting the color scheme, various features and even a new cafeteria name. Perita Robinson, secretary of nutritional services, was the winner of the naming contest.
