Alexander Travers, RN, DNP, has been a nurse with Broward Health for 10 years, currently serving as a nurse manager for inpatient rehabilitation and wound care support, managing the day-to-day nursing services of the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Broward Health North.
A people-oriented person, Travers enjoys serving people when they need help the most. Wanting to make a greater impact, he pursued a doctorate to enhance his leadership abilities and broaden his expertise to move into nursing leadership.
“I appreciate the growth mindset at Broward Health that helps build leadership from within,” said Travers. “Pairing my education with the clinical experience I gained with the system paved the way for me to step into the role of nurse manager alongside the rehabilitation team – an opportunity I’m truly honored to have.”
Travers received his associate’s degree in nursing from Broward College and his Doctor of Nursing practice degree from the University of Central Florida.
