dward A. Perez, M.D., an orthopedic trauma surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, has been named chief of orthopedics and orthopedic trauma for the Broward Health Physician Group.
Before he joined the Broward Health Physician Group in 2019, Dr. Perez served as the service chief of orthopedics at Regional One Health in Memphis, TN, and was a professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Tennessee/Campbell Clinic.
Dr. Perez received a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. He then completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD.
