January 1 2020 – Broward Health has welcomed the first babies of 2021. Caleb Joseph Reigh, who weighs 4 pounds and is 17.7 inches long, was born at Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health Coral Springs at 12:04 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2021. He is receiving care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The first baby of this new year to be delivered at Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale is Liam Muñoz, a 7-pound boy who measures 19.5 inches. He was born at 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2021.

Dawn Horowitz, a registered nurse at Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital in Coral Springs, helps care for Caleb Joseph Reigh in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Baby Caleb was born at 12:04 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2021, making him the first “new year” baby born at Broward Health.
Estrella Orellana and Elvis Muñoz welcomed their son, Liam Muñoz, at 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2021. Liam was the first baby of the new year born at Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center.
