Cardiologist Tarak Rambhatla, M.D., has joined Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida and the region’s largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular facility. Dr. Rambhatla specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular disease and its risk factors. Among the conditions he treats are congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders and heart failure. He is affiliated with Baptist Hospital of Miami and West Kendall Baptist Hospital and sees patients at 7400 SW 87 Avenue, Suite 100, in Miami.
 
Dr. Rambhatla earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and also studied at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England, through the International Medicine Pathway program, where he graduated cum laude. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital, Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine in New York, N.Y., serving as chief resident and chief fellow. Dr. Rambhatla is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also is certified by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, American Society of Echocardiography and Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. In addition, he has the added qualification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Dr. Rambhatla publishes articles about clinical approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in scientific journals and lectures to peers at national conferences. He is a member of several professional medical societies, including the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, American Society of Echocardiography and American College of Cardiology.
