Carmen Shirley, M.D., has recently joined Dr. Wilfred McKenzies, Chief of Staff at Broward General Medical Center, family medical practice.
Dr. Shirley has extensive experience in primary prevention and comes from a history of physicians, in particular, her father Calvin Shirley, M.D., one of the first African-American physicians to practice in Broward County.
In 1993, Dr. Shirley received her doctorate of medicine from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency in family practice residency at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida.
Shirley has accreditations from the Diplomat of the American Board of Family Physicians, Medical Licensure State of Florida and is licensed by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). She is also a member of many professional and community associations.
