Seventh annual event featuring golfing great, Dana Quigley, offers something for everyone

February 14, 2020 – Clinics Can Help (CCH), the West Palm Beach-based nonprofit helping to enable access to healthcare for all through the donation of medical equipment and supplies, is proud to announce that Matt Lincoln, CBS12 News anchor will chair its seventh annual Clinics Can Help Golf Classic on April 17, 2020 at Wellington National Golf Club. The day will feature a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start, fantastic prizes for Closest-to-the-Pin, Longest-Drive, and Hole-in-One, an exciting silent auction and fabulous food.

Lincoln, who has helped with the CCH tournament for the past four years, can be seen anchoring CBS12 News This Morning and CBS12 News on weekdays at both nine and noon. You can find out “What’s Lincoln Thinkin’?” on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by searching for "Matt Lincoln TV.”

Prior to getting up before the crack of dawn, Lincoln says he was a night owl who served as CBS12’s sports director for over five years. Originally from Massachusetts, his journalism career also brought him to television stations in Richmond, Virginia, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and northeastern Louisiana. Now, he’s happy to no longer be just a snowbird. Instead, he enjoys sleepy Florida weekends with his wife, young twins, and dog.

Lincoln will be joined by honorary chair, Dana Quigley. Known as the "Iron Man of the Champions Tour" before his son, Devon, was paralyzed in a car accident in 2011, Quigley took time off from professional golf after the accident to ensure Devon’s care was exactly what would help him thrive. CCF played a big part.

In addition to Lincoln and Quigley, nine committee members are hard at work to ensure this year’s event will be the best one yet. They are Pam Swensen, Andrea McMillan, Despina Hall, Vic Carlucci, Sally Chester, Myk Nelsen, Jon Levy, and Gil and Jennifer Martinez. Proceeds will support the Clinics Can Help’s KINDER Project, providing CCH adaptive equipment to children with special needs at no cost. CCH’s KINDER Project has served over 650 children in our community with equipment including adaptive bathing systems, pediatric positioning seating systems, adaptive transit strollers and other items for children with special needs.

The newly renovated Wellington National Golf Club is located at 400 Binks Forest Drive, Wellington, FL 33414.
