November 9 2022 – The Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County Inc., announces Todd L’Herrou as the Center’s new Chief Executive Officer. L’Herrou starts his tenure during the center’s 60th year offering the local community behavioral health services and education to strengthen individuals and families.

“I am honored to have been asked to lead this organization which has a long and distinguished history of providing much needed services to our community, and I look forward to guiding the Center as we enter our 7th decade,” said L’Herrou, who has served as Executive Director of the Delray Beach Athletic Club and was Vice President of the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce.

L’Herrou joins the Center after five years at Nonprofits First, where, as the Director of Accreditation, he focused on assisting nonprofits in using good governance to strengthen and grow their organizations. L’Herrou’s education and career experience spans many fields. His career path began with training as an emergency medical technician (EMT), then as a radiologic technologist. Following completion of his BS in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master’s in Psychology at FAU, he worked at the National Institute of Mental Health, then for a private medical information / research company. He then founded and operated a consulting and web development business for 15 years, before moving into the nonprofit sector.

Ellen Vaughan

Also joining The Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County Inc., as their new Chief Development Officer is Ellen Vaughan. Vaughan is a fundraising veteran having worked and volunteered in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. She has led teams in Florida and in New York City for the Saint Andrew’s School, the American Cancer Society, the Armory Art Center and Palm Beach Atlantic University.

“I am thrilled to lead the strategic fundraising and donor
relations initiatives for the Center. It is a privilege for me to be able to make an impact in the community and raise much needed funding for our mental health services and meet the needs of individuals and families who would otherwise be unable to afford the help they desperately need,” said Vaughan, who is currently the president for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Palm Beach County Chapter and is a member of the Planned Giving Council of Palm Beach County.

Vaughan will be leading the Center for Families Services’ largest fundraiser, the Old Bags Luncheon. Going into its 24th year, the Old Bags Luncheon will once again be at the Breakers in Palm Beach on February 22, 2023.
