
Community Health of South Florida Inc. is pleased to announce the promotions of three CHI staffers to the Executive Team. Juan D. Reyes to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management; Monica Mizell, RN, MSN, MHA, to Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer; and Jean Pierre, LCSW, to Vice President for Behavioral Health Services.
Reyes continues the legacy of former Human Resources Director Ida Hernandez, who retired in April. Along with keeping his previous duties as Risk Manager and Privacy Officer, Reyes will oversee all Human Resources activities for CHI: hiring, benefits, credentialing of providers and clinical staff, plus more.
Mizell, who has been acting as the interim VP of Nursing for several months, has been with CHI for nearly 24 years. Mizell began her career as a registered nurse at CHI’s Doris
Ison Center’s Urgent Care Unit. From there, she moved to the Martin Luther King Jr. Clinica Campesina Health Center and eventually became its site manager. Over the two decades at CHI, Mizell received her degrees and became an instrumental leader and role model.

Back in 2012, Pierre was awarded Supervisor of the Year. Since then he has also grown professionally, obtaining his Six Sigma Green Belt certification. In addition, Pierre established the Behavioral Health Access Program to assist patients in getting Medicaid cash assistance and food stamps.
