Visiting Instructor, 2025 DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators recipient
Dr. Wanda Morancy, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, joined Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing as a full-time faculty in 2020. Her clinical practice, teaching, and service embraces the philosophy of caring and health promotion. Her passion is to empower others to maintain well-being. Dr. Morancy’s DNP Capstone focused on diabetes self-management education in Afro-descent older adults. Her area of interest includes person-centered and culturally competent concepts to promote health and decrease health disparities. She serves as the faculty advisor for the college’s Student Nurses’ Association. Dr. Morancy is also co-author of a qualitative study underscoring the need for improved support systems, resources and evidence-based interventions for family caregivers to mitigate the emotional and physical toll of caring for a relative with alcohol use disorder.
