Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is expanding access to advanced orthopaedic, spine, and physical therapy services on the Treasure Coast through the acquisition of the Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach. As part of this expansion, Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is pleased to welcome orthopaedic surgeons Carl P. DiLella, D.O., and Richard Steinfeld, M.D., MBA, to its medical staff.
Dr. DiLella earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a rotating internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, with specialty training at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. During residency, he was selected for the AO Trauma Fellowship, which included advanced training in Davos, Switzerland. He went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute, gaining extensive experience in complex arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures.
Dr. Steinfeld completed his medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his orthopaedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic, where he also completed a general surgery internship. He pursued advanced subspecialty training through a clinical fellowship in knee surgery in Australia and later earned a Master of Business Administration through the University of Tennessee Physician Executive MBA Program.
