Board-certified radiation oncologist Robert H. Press, M.D., has joined the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, and will serve as clinical director of proton therapy. He specializes in treating central nervous system tumors, head and neck cancers and thoracic malignancies.

Dr. Press comes to Lynn Cancer Institute from Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, where he was an attending physician and head of the thoracic service line in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2023, he was a radiation oncologist at New York Proton Center, serving as the disease site lead for both central nervous system tumors and head and neck cancers. During this time, he also served as an assistant clinical professor at Mt. Sinai Hospital and a visiting investigator for the Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

After earning his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine, Dr. Press remained at the university to complete his internal medicine internship. He completed his radiation oncology residency at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, serving as chief resident during his final year.
