September 23, 2019— Carrie Browne has been appointed director of philanthropy at Palm Health Foundation, Palm Beach County’s community foundation for health.  Browne will lead the foundation’s fundraising initiatives, working closely with donors and funders to solve local complex health issues.
 
Browne brings extensive fundraising and marketing experience to the foundation with skills ranging from grassroots outreach to corporate relations. In her most recent position, Browne served as executive director for Healthier Jupiter, a Palm Health Foundation initiative, leading a resident-driven movement to promote healthy behaviors, influence local policy and strengthen and enhance community-based programs to improve health outcomes. Browne’s earlier experience included corporate relations at Hospice of Palm Beach County, healthcare marketing at Tenet Health Care and fund development at American Heart Association.
 
“Carrie’s unique combination of community development, marketing and fund development skills are a strategic asset for us as Palm Beach County’s community foundation for health,” said Pat McNamara, CEO of Palm Health Foundation.  “Carrie will provide insight and guidance to donors to help them determine where they can make the greatest impact on the health issues they care about most.”
 
Browne will work closely with donors to fund innovative solutions around health issues ranging from advancing brain health to promoting healthy lifestyles, strengthening health professions through scholarships and supporting its community based "Healthier Together" initiatives in six underserved communities in Palm Beach County. The foundation provides a variety of giving opportunities that include donor advised funds and planned giving opportunities.  Browne will also oversee the foundation’s fundraising events, including the Better Brain Health Luncheon on January 16, 2020 at the Kravis Center, Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach.
 
Browne is a member of Leadership Palm Beach County’s Engage Class of 2019, Junior League of the Palm Beaches, the Town of Jupiter Education Task Force and Palm Beach County’s Criminal Justice Commission Community Engagement Task Force.
