Children’s Home Society of Florida, Intercoastal, received a grant of $15,000 from Community Foundation of Broward to secure a full-time case manager for its I. Lorraine Thomas Childrens Emergency Home and Family Support Center. The case manager will assist with medical services for children in residence at the Emergency Home. Many of these patients have never before received basic health care services. Information regarding their health and medical history is often difficult to obtain due to lack of documentation. The case manager will track the progress of each childs physical and mental health and educate the next caregiver.
