January 5, 2022 – Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital welcomes board-certified family medicine physician Melissa Walther, MD, as a concierge medicine practitioner.

Dr. Walther is accepting new patients at the Cleveland Clinic Florida Concierge Medicine Program at Indian River, located at 920 37th Place, Suite 104, Vero Beach.

The Cleveland Clinic Florida Concierge Medicine Program at Indian River Hospital creates a unique opportunity for personalized medical care, led by Dr. Walther. The number of patients in the concierge medicine program will be limited, enabling Dr. Walther to develop a personal relationship with her patients and focus on their individual needs to provide the highest level of care. Patients will have the ability to reach their physician and healthcare team directly, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Individuals interested in learning more about the concierge medicine program can call 772.794.5618.

Dr. Walther was drawn to concierge medicine because of its focus on patient-centered care. “My father was a family physician in rural Ohio, and I witnessed his passion and tireless commitment to caring for the community he served,” Dr. Walther said. “Concierge medicine allows me to provide the kind of patient-centered, personalized and comprehensive care my father offered. I look forward to developing relationships with patients to help them reach their health goals.”

Dr. Walther received her medical degree with distinction from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency at Providence Medical Center-Seattle.

Dr. Walther brings 25 years of experience providing exceptional patient care to the Treasure Coast. Previously serving as a family physician at Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she consistently achieved outstanding scores in quality and patient satisfaction and received Parkview Foundation’s Guardian Angel award for service excellence. Dr. Walther is highly experienced in managing the care of older, medically complex patients who require enhanced specialty care coordination, and as an Ironman triathlete, also has a special interest in caring for lifelong athletes.
