Board-certified neurologist Constance Katsafanas, D.O., program director of Florida Atlantic University Schmidt College of Medicine’s Neurology Residency Program, has joined Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health. She will lead the residency program at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Katsafanas specializes in brain aneurysms, multiple sclerosis, stroke and tele stroke medicine.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Katsafanas served as an associate professor of neurology at the University of Florida (UF) and a neurologist at the UF Health Neuroscience Institute in Jacksonville. There, she also served as director of telemedicine, departmental quality officer, program director of the Neurology Residency, associate program director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship and associate clerkship director.

Dr. Katsafanas earned her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Fla. She completed neurology residency and a vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL.
