Delray Medical Center celebrated the first day of construction of its new 120,000 sq. ft. four-story patient tower and five-level parking garage, slated to open in early 2017. The project will include the addition of 96 private patient rooms, a comprehensive cardiovascular clinic, expanded endoscopy suites, a helipad and direct elevator access to the emergency department to expedite care for incoming trauma patients. The groundbreaking ceremony took place directly in front of the hospital’s entrance. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments were later served in the main lobby.
