The Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute (MCVI) has opened its new Total Heart Center at Memorial Regional Hospital, providing expert, streamlined total advanced heart care for the South Florida community.
The institute’s new 19,000-square-foot center will be suited to provide extensive heart services under one roof, including the treatment of advanced heart failure, adult heart transplant, left ventricular assist device management, echocardiograms, metabolic stress testing, infusion and pulmonary function testing.
Patients with advanced heart failure can receive individualized care plans and meet their care teams in one visit, rather than visiting multiple locations and prolonging care. With the approach of “total heart care,” members of the multidisciplinary care teams can easily consult and collaborate with one another to provide the most comprehensive, plan of care and services to patients. In addition to the Total Heart Center in Hollywood at Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute also have cardiologists, imaging services and cardiac catheterization labs at Memorial Hospital West as an extension of their services to care for patients in the western communities.
Features of the Total Heart Center include:
