Heather Havericak is named to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Delray Medical Center.
Havericak comes to Delray Medical Center from Broward Health, where she served in a variety of leadership roles within the system for 17 years. She spent the last four years of her tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of the system’s flagship facility, Broward Health Medical Center, which includes the Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital. Under her leadership, the organization expanded key service lines including robotics, neurosciences, oncology, women and children’s services, and cardiology. She has also held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Associate Vice President of Strategic and Administrative Services, Regional Director of the Hospital’s strategic service lines, and Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Oncology and Sickle Cell Transition Program and Pediatric Palliative Care.
Havericak earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Florida International University and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Indiana State University. Always involved in the community, she has served on a variety of nonprofit organization boards, including the South Florida Chapter of the American Heart Association, Gilda’s Club South Florida and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.
