Delray Medical Center is the first hospital in Palm Beach County to acquire the new O-arm® Surgical Imaging System, a multi-dimensional surgical imaging platform that is optimized for use in spine, orthopedic and trauma-related surgeries.

By integrating O-arm surgical imaging technology with Medtronic’s StealthStation® Surgical Navigation System, Delray Medical Center surgeons can see real-time, intra-operative imaging of a patient’s anatomy with high quality images with a large 2D and 3D field-of-view. The key to this technology is the delivery of critical information during each phase of a surgical procedure – potentially reducing the need for repeat surgery.

“We continually strive to build a new standard of care for our community,” said Mark Bryan, hospital CEO. “With this new technology, we will be able to provide our patients with a specialized, possibly life-changing service that further expands our surgical capabilities here at Delray Medical Center.”

The revolutionary scanning system provides physicians with more precision, which can translate into less time in the operating room. For patients, the StealthStation® navigation and O-arm® solutions may mean a smaller incision, a faster recovery time and an enhanced surgical outcome.
