May 15, 2019 – Dignity Memorial® has partnered with filmmaker Eric Gordon to host a series of screenings of When All That’s Left is Love across the country. The inaugural screening took place Wednesday, April 17 at Allegro Senior Living in Boynton Beach where Dignity Memorial® presented a check in support of this important initiative.

When All That’s Left is Love is the emotionally gripping story of a wife’s determination to care for her Alzheimer’s-stricken husband in their home. With unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access, the film reveals the toll that the disease takes on families coping with Alzheimer’s, while also showcasing the power of love that sustains both patients and caregivers. Director Eric Gordon’s story focuses on his mother, Marilyn, and a neighbor, Arline Rothman, as they struggle to care for spouses who are living with moderate to severe stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

Before the presentation, Allegro Senior Living hosted a breakfast and following the screening in Allegro’s theater, attendees participated in a discussion led by Dr. David Watson with the Alzheimer’s Treatment and Research Center exploring how doctors, community and family members can assist those managing the disease.

“We are excited to partner with Eric to bring these screenings of When All That’s Left is Love to our community and especially caregivers,” said Michael Tabers, community resource director for Dignity Memorial’s Atlantic Coast Market. “We hope the community benefits from the information provided in the documentary and in the discussion.”

Screenings of When All That’s Left is Love are being held across the country beginning May 10-11 at The Longleaf Film Festival located at the Museum of Natural History in Raleigh, North Carolina and June 6-9 at the Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival in Vero Beach, Florida.
