May 4, 2023 – Delray Medical Center is proud to announce that Dr. Joseph Ricotta has successfully performed his 300th Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) procedure. This significant milestone underscores Dr. Ricotta’s expertise and commitment to providing patients with advanced vascular care.
TCAR is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat carotid artery disease, which occurs when plaque buildup narrows the arteries that supply blood to the brain. TCAR allows for a safer and more efficient approach to removing plaque from the carotid artery and restoring normal blood flow to the brain.
