Tenet Florida Physician Services (TFPS) is pleased to announce that Louis Carnendran, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I., a regionally respected minimally invasive heart care specialist with expertise in interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, and clinical cardiology, opens his TFPS practice in Aventura. Dr. Carnendran brings 13-years of extensive clinical, teaching, and research experience to TFPS. Dr. Carnendran is on-staff at North Shore Medical Center. He is also a member of the Tenet Florida Heart & Vascular Network.For the past seven-plus years, Dr. Carnendran has called South Florida home, holding prestigious medical directorships and teaching posts in the Department of Cardiology, University Faculty Practice and in the medical school at the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine (USF), in Tampa. He most recently functioned as Medical Director of both the Cardiac Cath Lab and Chest Pain Center at St. Lucie Medical Center and as the Medical Director, radiation safety officer, and interventional cardiologist, at the Heart and Family Health Institute, in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Dr. Carnendran’s experience also includes operating his own private practice in Fort Lauderdale while functioning as a clinical, imaging, and interventional cardiologist and as a medical Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Florida Institute of Cardiovascular Care in Miramar.
