A nationally known nuclear cardiologist, Robert C. Hendel, M.D., has been named director of cardiac imaging and outpatient cardiology in the Cardiovascular Division of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Hendel is leaving his position with Midwest Heart Specialists. Previously he served as director of the coronary care unit and director of nuclear cardiology at Rush University Medical Center, where he remains a professor of medicine. Before joining Rush, he served on the faculty at Northwestern Universitys Feinberg School of Medicine for almost 10 years.
