Susan Fleischer, Chief Operating Officer for Rona Bartelstone Care Management & Home Healthcare, has received the 2006 Adele Elkind Award from the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. The award is named in memory of one of the organizations “founding mothers” who took initiatives to help nurture others who were starting geriatric care businesses.
Fleischer has been recognized for “Distinguished and Professional Service in Geriatric Care Management” at the local and national levels. She has been instrumental in the establishment of college intern programs and providing experience for professionals beginning careers in geriatric care.
“Susan is known nationally for her long term involvement with geriatric care and she has established a reputation for her sense of compassion with every aspect of providing care management,” said Rona Bartelstone, who has worked with Fleischer for 10 years. “Susan is considered as a pioneer in the geriatric care management field and she continues to develop programs to ensure maximum care for patients.”
