The Palm Beach Children’s Hospital recently hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Kosher Pantry, made possible through the hospital’s partnership with Chai Lifeline. In efforts to adequately meet the needs of the hospital’s Orthodox Jewish patients and visitors, many of whom travel from all over the world, this space will provide the resources they need for their nutrition habits.
Hospital leadership and representatives of the organization hosted the grand opening, and even blessed the pantry by installing a "mezuzah" at the entrance. Individuals of the Jewish faith believe this artifact provides special protection for their homes and other spaces, and have followed this tradition for thousands of years.
