Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine Students Work on Trauma Clinical Research Project at Delray Medical Center

Delray Medical Center along with students of the Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine recently collaborated on a Trauma Research Project to deliver treatment options for potential trauma patients. Under the leadership of Trauma Medical Director, Dr. Ivan Puente, Trauma Director Maggie Crawford, and Trauma Research Director Alexander Fokin, the team oversaw three different research projects with the students. These included palliative care treatment for trauma patients, case studies on rib fractures, and evaluating pain management options in orthopedic trauma patients.
