Florida Governor Charlie Crist Appoints CEO to College Board in Florida Keys

Fishermen’s Hospital CEO, Kim Bassett, is honored to be the newest board member of the Florida Keys Community College (FKCC). The much sought after position is Governor appointed. This was a natural progression for Bassett who not only attended the college as a student, taught as an instructor, but was also a member of the College’s Nursing Advisory Board.

With this appointment Bassett hopes to enhance the current medical programs and expand them as well to include Radiology, Pharmacy and Surgical Techs. The School of Nursing and Emergency Medical Services were added to the almost 40 year old college during the eighties.
