Florida Medical Center, a campus of North Shore, was the Platinum Sponsor for this year’s “First There First Care” Emergency Services Conference. The annual conference was presented by The Fire Chiefs’ Association of Broward County Florida and the Broward Regional EMS Council. The annual conference attracted hundreds of paramedics, EMTs, nurses and other healthcare professionals.As part of Florida Medical Center’s sponsorship, medical director Dr. Ali Shahriari, thoracic and cardiac surgeon, presented on The Aortic Disease Institute of Florida and the types of cases he sees there. The Aortic Disease Institute is composed of a medical team specializing in minimally-invasive procedures to treat aortic disease.
